Picking the Right people to do your job

You might be faced with the decision to proceed with the insurers own contractor which is fine, a lot of them are very good. Make sure you do your research by checking some reviews and if you’re happy, what their lead in time is. You’ve probably seen our reviews so you can skip straight to the question of “when can you start?” We always commence restoration work (drying and or fire cleans” within 3-4 days. We can usually start reinstatment in no more than 4 weeks from approval of our costs.

If the insurance contractor can proceed at a cost thats below our cost then the insurance company will select the cheapest option, whereas, you’ll want to choose the best. Make sure you talk to us as we will always see if we can sharpen our pencil but first and foremost we will check that the insurance contractors and our own scope is like for like.

As qualified members of the British Damage Management Association 90% of the claims we deal with involve water damage be that from a flood, or following an extinguished fire so we’re pretty savvy when it comes to sorting these things out. We provide Dry Certificates which are important when you have had a leak or flood.

Being Treat Unfairly by your Insurance Company?

In some situations it may be necessary to enlist a loss assessor, for example, if you had an unfairly repudiated claim, a poor settlement offer, you experienced unnecessary delays or unfair treatment or if there was a dispute over the details of your insurance cover.

While we do not offer this service in-house, we work closely with a reputable loss assessor who can assist with your claim, working in tandem with ourselves. We will recommend this service if necessary, however this may be at an additional cost to yourself.
